5 Key Benefits Of Building Confidence

Confidence is a necessary trait in life that helps you to go much further in life. It isn’t always something you inherently have; sometimes you have to work at it. And once you do build it up, you have to keep working at it, as it can be easily torn down.

Working at building your confidence, though, doesn’t always come easy; is it really worth the effort? What’s even in it for you? In this article, you’ll find the five key benefits that you can get from working on your confidence.

1) Improved Performance

Having better confidence can help you perform better in various areas of your life. For instance, it can improve your productivity at work while also encouraging you to go for more challenging projects or chance getting a promotion. Being confident in what you’re doing can help you to do your absolute best. The more confident you are in your abilities, the better you will perform.

2) Ease of Social Situations

Those who are more confident tend to be at ease in social situations. Due to their confidence, they don’t need to rely on the views of others for validation or their opinions for their own self-worth. This results in a greater sense of ease in these situations.

It helps you to more freely be yourself. The positive energy and confidence these people exude in these situations attracts others to them and puts them at a greater ease as they go through new experiences.

3) Better Health

Confidence and positive self-esteem can help to keep you in better mental health. Working to boost your confidence can help to improve your mental health and your overall health. Knowing your worth, value, and skills within yourself, rather than relying on others to provide that for you, can cause you to be happier, stronger, and more secure mentally and emotionally.

Those children who grow up with a higher sense of confidence tend to get better grades, perform better in school, take better care of themselves, and tend to excel in sports, the arts, and socialization.

4) Overall Happiness

Boosting your self-confidence can help to improve your overall happiness in life. Those who have a healthy level of confidence often report being happier and more satisfied with their lives than those who struggle with their confidence. Confidence helps you to have happier and healthier relationships, go further in your career, and perform better, leaving a person much happier and more satisfied with their lives.

5) Less Insecurity and Doubt

Confidence helps you to know yourself better than ever before, making you sure of your worth and value. This helps you to easily squelch the common feelings of insecurity and doubt that crop up.

When you’re confident, you know what you bring to the table, what you want, and how you’re going to get it; you refuse to let insecurities build up or doubt to creep in. This helps you to go even further in life and protect the confidence you’ve already built up.

Confidence is a trait that, once worked at and built up, can get you very far in life. For many people, building up confidence doesn’t come easily. For those, it might even take far more motivation than for those to whom it comes easily.

What’s in it for them to put all the effort and work necessary in maintaining good confidence? We hope that this article helped to provide you with all the motivation and incentive you need to start working on your confidence today.

Don’t wait; an improvement in your overall satisfaction and quality of life await you.

Following Your Purpose Isn’t Always Easy – But It Is Well Worth It

You need to find your purpose, they say…

You need to follow your passion, they say…

You need to determine your “why”, they say …

But sometimes it isn’t all that easy. It’s not easy to figure out exactly what your “why” is. Sometimes we feel stuck and we’re not even sure what our purpose and passion are, let alone follow them.

And sometimes we know exactly what we would like to be doing, but circumstances don’t allow it. There are bills to be paid, a family to take care of, and that company-funded health insurance sure comes in handy with a couple of rambunctious toddlers in the house.

What do you do in either of those situations? The first thing you do is take your time. As important as finding your purpose is, it isn’t something you need to rush into. Take the time to examine who you are, what you’re good at and who you could help or sever. Who are the people that could benefit from your unique set of experiences and qualifications? What do you feel called to?

Once you know what your calling or your purpose is, start planning the rest of your life around it. That doesn’t mean you need to hand in your two week notice. Instead, learn as much as you can about turning your passion or your calling into something that will also pay the bills. Maybe that means looking for a different job. Maybe that means going back to school. Maybe that means figuring out how to run your own business.

Start slow and work on things part-time. Set aside some money as a safety cushion while you make the switch. Then, and only then, go ahead and start moving towards your calling.

Yes, it’s a lot of change and it can seem daunting at first. Don’t let that intimidate you. Just take it one step at a time, keep your eye on the goal, and you’ll get there before you know it. And believe me, it will be well worth in the end.

Once you make the switch and go through all the scary changes and challenges that following your purpose brings with it, you’ll be more satisfied with where your life is going and how you’re choosing to spend your time. In other words, you’ll be happier and that is a worthy end goal, isn’t it?

30 Tips for Choosing Healthy Fats in Your Diet

30 Tips for Choosing Healthy Fats in Your Diet

For the past few decades, we’ve heard all about the virtues of a low-fat diet and the dangers of dietary fat and cholesterol. But with the number of overweight and obese people climbing every day and statin drugs for lowering cholesterol the most commonly prescribed medications in the world, researchers have recently reviewed the low fat trend. Emerging research has shown that there is such a thing as healthy fat which can increase your good cholesterol (HDL cholesterol-think H for healthy) and decrease your bad cholesterol (LDL cholesterol-think L for lousy).

But with so many so-called healthy oils and butter substitutes on the market, how do decide what’s best to buy? Here are 30 tips for choosing healthy fats in your diet:

⦁ Choose plant-based oils such as olive oil, or peanut oil if you are not allergic to nuts.  Plant based oils will not contain cholesterol as compared with animal-based oils such as butter.

⦁ Choose monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. Mono means 1 and poly means more than 1.  These fats are most easily used by the body for a range of important functions and are healthier for you than saturated fats. These will help you feel full and make it less likely that you will eat saturated fats from animal products, such as butter and lard.

⦁ Go Mediterranean. The Mediterranean diet has been shown to be heart healthy due to the proportion of olive oil used as dressing and cooking oil. Olive oil is actually higher in calories than butter but contains no cholesterol.

⦁ Choose natural oils, not ‘lite’ or ‘light’ ones. Some people find the taste of olive oil a bit overwhelming, such as that of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, or EVOO.  There are different grades of olive oil you can try until you find one that suits your palate. Avoid oils labeled lite or light, however, because those words do not usually refer to the color of the oil, but the fact that is has been blended with another type of oil, one potentially less healthy for you.

⦁ Eat olives. These tasty little foods are the origins of olive oil, so you can get all the benefits of the oil plus a tasty snack for only a few calories per portion. Rinse off the salt water they are usually packed in to make them healthier, and enjoy!

⦁ Substitute olive oil for butter in a range of recipes.  Use it as a spread on bread and for cooking and frying. If you miss buttercream frosting on your cake, try a simple glaze of water and powdered sugar instead, with a dash of olive oil for body and texture.

⦁ Eat avocados.  These tasty fruits contain a range of heart-healthy fats 75% monounsaturated and 25% polyunsaturated. They are versatile and can be used in sandwiches, salads, Mexican and Tex-Mex meals, and more.

⦁ Use guacamole instead of mayo in your sandwiches.  Make your own guacamole by mashing fresh avocado with some fresh tomatoes cut into cubes and a squirt of lemon or lime juice. Use your guacamole as you would mayonnaise, on turkey sandwiches, with your tuna salad, and more.  Be careful of commercially prepared guacamole, however, as it can often contain unhealthy fats. In fact, some actually contain very little avocado. If you must buy it, be sure to read the label to make sure avocado is listed as the first ingredient.

⦁ Eat nuts in moderation if you are not allergic. Studies have shown that those who eat 1 ounce of nuts each day have an easier time losing weight and keeping it off.  Nuts are not only rich in healthy fats and certain vitamins and enzymes, their fiber makes you feel fuller and aids in digestion.

⦁ Try walnuts in your oatmeal each morning. Studies have shown that 8 walnuts a day can help lower you cholesterol naturally. A bowl of oatmeal made with quick oats, water and a dash of cinnamon can help lower it even more.

⦁ Switch to peanut oil.  Peanut oil is a monounsaturated fat, which means it is a simple fat easily digested and used by the body. It increases healthy cholesterol in the body and is great for your skin and your memory.  It works well in Asian-style dishes.

⦁ Cook at home using healthy oils so you can steer clear of artery-clogging trans fats.  Healthy oils like peanut, olive and coconut oil give foods a rich flavor compared with the trans fats in store-bought cookies, cakes and other packaged convenience foods.  Trans fats are created by pumping hydrogen molecules into a range of (usually cheap and unhealthy) oils to make them solid and therefore less likely to spoil as the products they are made with sit on store shelves.  Trans fats are damaging to heart health and should be avoided as much as possible.

⦁ Add coconut oil to your diet in moderation. Coconut oil is a saturated fat, but studies have shown it is processed by the body differently than animal-based saturated fats.  Coconut oil has been shown to offer a range of healing properties and can improve your digestive health. It is usually solid at room temperature but becomes liquid on warm days.

⦁ Use coconut oil in a wide range of tasty recipes, even if you are not fond of the flavor. Coconut oil is versatile and can be used in most forms of cooking and baking; however, some people find the taste too strong or overwhelming in subtly seasoned recipes.  If you do not want the strong taste of coconut to be obvious in your dishes, use expeller-pressed or deodorized coconut oil.

⦁ Use butter in moderation. Butter contains a range of vitamins and nutrients, including Omega-3 fatty acids, which can be good for heart health. Butter does also contain cholesterol, true, but also offers a range of health benefits, such as helping you feel full for longer and boosting your metabolism.

⦁ Use sunflower oil. It has the highest concentration of monounsaturated fats of all the oils available, according to the ⦁ nutrition database at Self magazine.

⦁ Eat macadamia nuts if you can afford them. They are delicious, with a rich, creamy taste and rich in monounsaturated fats and fiber. The only downside is they can be costly; look for bargains in your local warehouse club.

⦁ Explore nut-based oils.  We have already discussed peanut oil, but there are several other nut-based oils high in monounsaturated fats that are worth experimenting with, including hazelnut (also known as filbert), macadamia and almond.

⦁ Use soybean oil in moderation. It is polyunsaturated and high in Omega-3 fatty acids. It is versatile enough to be used in a range of recipes, from frying to homemade salad dressings. However, note that some people are allergic to soy. The jury is also still out for some researchers as to how much soy should be eaten every day as part of a healthy diet.

⦁ Eat more tofu. Soybeans have the highest amount of protein of any member of the bean family, with a low percentage of fat, making it an excellent substitute for meat in your cooking. Try a stir-fry using sesame oil to get the flavor of a Chinese restaurant with none of the hidden dangers found in many prepackaged foods. Some researchers express concern at eating too much soy, especially genetically modified soy.  Look for organic tofu if you are concerned about GMO foods and cook more from scratch if you are worried about soy being added to many prepackaged foods as a thickener and source of protein.

⦁ Add Omega-3 fatty acids to your diet to improve heart health. Sources include salmon and other fatty fish and sunflower, soybean, walnut, and corn oils.

⦁ Boost your Intake of Omega-6 fatty acids in moderation. Omega-6 fatty acids are thought to also aid in heart health, though according to recent studies, too much can be a bad thing. Flax seed is an excellent source of both Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. Flax seed has a wonderful nutty taste and texture. Add to cereal or sprinkle on salads.

⦁ Choose your cheese wisely. Hard cheeses such as cheddar have less fat than soft cheeses such as Brie or Bleu cheese. If you are going to eat cheese, practice portion control. One ounce of cheese is about the size of two dice.

⦁ Choose your protein carefully.  A lot of people think they have to give up bacon and other tasty meats because they are high in fat. The truth is they can be enjoyed in moderation if you make sensible choices. Try Canadian or back bacon instead of bacon streaked with fat. Also try a homemade ham steak.

The main danger with processed meats like bacon is all the chemicals, salt and preservatives the food industry puts into them. One other concern is over cooked meats becoming charred, which has been associated with increased risk of prostate cancer in men. If you do choose to eat bacon, cook until crisp but not overdone.  Use a couple of slices on the side of your eggs in the morning, or as the topping for a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich (BLT) loaded with the salad items and a thin smear of mayo or guacamole.

⦁ Opt for lean cuts of meat. Many people avoid beef and pork because they consider them to be too fatty. The truth is that there are a lot of lean cuts of meat you can buy in the supermarket once you know what to look for, such as a minute steak or a pork loin.  One pork loin can make many meals economically smart, from a roast dinner to stir-fry, tacos, and most other meals in which you would use white-meat chicken. Use portion control to make sure you do not overdo it on the protein and fat. A three-ounce portion of meat is roughly the size of a deck of playing cards.

⦁ Use low-fat versions of high-fat foods. Some fat is good for us, but there is no need to consume full-fat items if there are low-fat alternatives. Look for low-fat cream cheese, sour cream, yogurt and milk to keep down the amount of dietary cholesterol and calories you are consuming.

⦁ Add Greek-style yogurt to your diet. Yogurt is good for maintaining digestive health, adding immune system-boosting probiotics through its active cultures. Studies have also shown that eating yogurt can curb cravings and lead to weight loss. Greek-style yogurt has twice the protein as regular yogurt for the same number of calories and will also make you feel fuller for longer.

⦁ Eat eggs. A lot of people steer clear of eggs due to the cholesterol, but the diet is just one part of the cholesterol picture. We can control our dietary intake of cholesterol to some extent, but skipping eggs can mean we are missing out on all of the protein and valuable nutrients packed into that one small shell, all for only about 70 to 90 calories. Eggs will help you feel full for longer and are highly portable. Boil up a couple so you can have a tasty snack you can take anywhere. Cheese and eggs are the main snacks permitted on a low carb diet because they leave you feeling satisfied for hours after eating, and much less likely to grab sugary foods due to carb cravings.

⦁ Choose chocolate. Dark chocolate with a high percentage of cocoa solids, such as 70% to 90%, have been shown to contain healthy fats and other disease-fighting nutrients. One ounce a day of high-quality chocolate can satisfy your sweet tooth even as it improves your health. Avoid milk chocolate or white chocolate due to the large amounts of sugar and other added ingredients that dilute the heart-healthy cocoa solids.

If you have been following a low fat diet but are still overweight or struggling with medical issues, try adding some healthy fats to your diet, in moderation. The suggestions above are easy to follow and can make a difference in the way you look and feel.

I Have Finished My Degree And I'm Back

Wow, It doesn't seem like its was back in December when I created my last post. Well nevertheless, I have completed my Bachelor degree in Finance with the University Of Phoenix Online. It has been a long three years of studying...

Now it's back to business Online Marketing...

And I will share some of what I learned in my classes that is right in our faces on a daily basis that we downgrade and allow big business to make fortunes off of. Direct Marketing... Yes those that took the class and have access to the book we studied from in Marketing class will take this and run with it while others keep believing that is's a scam or pyramid.

I realize that schools are to teach you how to go get a job not be your own boss so of course we didn't cover topic on entrepreneurship. And believe me what you don't know will keep you broke and depending on government assistance.

So stay tuned as I will be posting  more often and getting back into my routine.

I Quit Smoking Cigarettes Cold Turkey

I smoked cigarettes for over 25 years. Everyone I know that quit, gained anywhere from 20 - 50 pounds or more. I knew that smoking was bad for me but I also knew that gaining weight would cause it's own set of health problems.

Well I decided to quit February 29th of 2016. Lucky for me, I had found some weight loss products that I was interested in marketing so I decided to try it for myself. The program suggested replacing two meals a day with shakes and two snacks a day with a chewable tablet and water. This was to be done for 6 days and you rest on the 7th day. I started with what my budget could afford which was the Stay-fit package that included 1 Shakeoff and 1 Chewoff. I usually eat breakfast and lunch when I'm at work then not much else for the day. Along with the digestive problems I have those two meals by them self, I would be miserable for eating too much.

So I decided I would replace breakfast with a shake and have a chew a hour or two later then eat lunch at noon followed by another chew before I leave work. Once I get home in the evening I try to find something light to snack on. The amazing thing was I was eating more but less. You know the 3 meals a day and 2 snacks the nutrition experts say you are supposed to have daily, I was getting there and the digestive issues that I had was getting better. What a relief! I was doing great and feeling great until a personal trainer decided to give me a meal plan that included a lot more food. As I tried to follow this plan I was back to eating more than my digestive system could handle and I was miserable once again. And as far as the sweet craving from not smoking cigarettes, I was doing great. And I was actually starting to look slimmer because I wasn't stuffed and bloated all of the time.

Fast forward 6 months later after getting back on track with replacing at least 1 meal a day and 2 snacks, I am maintaining my original weight from before I quit smoking. One of the things I left out the program suggests that truthfully I haven't started yet is walking 30 minutes 3 times a week. I'm not going to bore you with my excuses of why I haven't started walking but it is apart of my short-term goals. The important thing though, is that I am still smoke free and I have a plan for eating better that is working wonderfully. So if you want to quit smoking and minimize your weight gain, give Chew the Fat Off (CTFO) products a try. They offer a 60 day money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with the products. http://angel33.myctfo.com

Good luck on you smoke free journey!

Healthy Self-Esteem = Healthy Relationship

Healthy Self-Esteem = Healthy Relationship

Without a healthy sense of self-esteem, it is virtually impossible to find a lasting and real relationship outside yourself. Whether you are currently in a relationship, or you are single and looking for your next relationship, you can improve your self-esteem. Do a self-check and evaluate your self-esteem levels; take some time to work on your self-esteem this week!

Are you in charge of your own mood? Let’s face it – we all love receiving a compliment or hearing something nice said about us. We will smile all day long remembering what was said, and there is nothing wrong with that. The problem comes in when our mood depends on the words of others.

If you need the validation of another person to ensure that you are happy, your self-esteem needs some work. Find something about yourself that you love: your sense of humor, your eyes, your snarky sense of wit and focus on those areas.

When you find yourself wondering why you haven’t gotten a compliment, start giving yourself one on the area that you most admire. Take control of your own mood!

Are you worried about how you upset others? Women tend to find value in their relationships and often find their sense of self-worth through the state of their relationship. If things are good, then they must be doing things right.

If their relationship is in trouble, there must be a problem with them. When your partner is upset, if your initial reaction is to wonder what you did to cause a problem you may have codependency issues.

Are you experiencing déjà vu? Do you find yourself in the exact same relationship over and over – just with a different person? If you find that you end up with someone who is disrespectful of you repeatedly, it may be an indicator of a self-esteem issue.

You may need to spend some time considering why you choose men who hurt you. Are you trying to change their behavior? Do you feel as though that is the only type of man you deserve? Once you have identified the pattern, you can begin to take steps to change.

Are you in a spinning teacup? It starts simple enough: you wake up and notice a new wrinkle under your eye. Then you start to obsess over your weight. The next thing you know, you are worried about why your boss chose someone else for a new project and your best friend didn’t call you like she said she would.

The spinning cup of negativity can be difficult to stop – once you start turning the wheel it seems impossible to slow it down. The secret to dealing with this cup of despair? Don’t start turning the wheel. When you have a negative thought, follow it up immediately with a positive one - effectively putting the brakes on your self-esteem killer.

Working on your self-esteem will help make you a happier, stronger person. When you are happy with whom you are, it is easier to find happiness with another person and your relationship will be better for it.

Three Layers of Intimacy

Three Layers of Intimacy

Intimacy is defined as a close, familiar, affectionate and loving relationship with another person. Even on its surface, the word is charged while cutting across multiple aspects of relationships. Culture squashes the word into a tiny box making it palatable for everyone and not challenging anyone. For couples to endure, their understanding of intimacy must extend beyond the traditional or simple delving into deeper areas of closeness, familiarity, love and affection.

Physical

In a culture obsessed with the physical, the simplest forms of intimacy fall into the purview of the body. Some of the greatest negotiations in a relationship can center around physical intimacy. From the first kiss to more personal acts, this is a dance played out starting with the first flirtations. Nervous teenagers are not the only ones to wonder if the first date will end in locking lips. Even the ones who know the final page of the date grow nervous when walked to the front door at the end of the evening because of intimacy of the act of kissing another person.

On a baseline level, physical intimacy cannot be pushed aside as a strictly biological hurdle to be bypassed. The excruciating sweetness of being near another person makes all the nerves and risk worth it. Even as it is important, physical intimacy is not the pinnacle of connection. Physical closeness does whisper delicious promises of deep depths than anyone else dares to dream of.

Communication

Intimacy in the midst of conversation reveals a great deal about the person. It can disclose dreams, hopes and the most fervent wants. Words, though sometimes crude tools, possess the gift to grant greater insight into the person in the relationships than any physical act alone could ever hope to ensnare.

This intimacy sits firmly between physical intimacy and deeper waters because some of the first things shared can be the ways in which physical pleasure can be granted and received. It takes courage to stop a partner and request they linger on a neglected patch of flesh. The receiver gains greater insight into their partner and the sharer feels appreciated and closer to the other person. This communication is never limited to the corporeal, immediate or temporary. It can be a first and important step.

Emotional

The heart represents one of the deepest levels of intimacy for a couple. The heart holds so much in the way of seeing a person for who they are with the pains they have suffered, the hopes they strive for and the ways in which they seek to protect themselves. Imagine if a partner possess access to all of these things. How close would a couple be? How well would they know one another? How much love could they experience and express?

A couple without higher forms of intimacy may find this level almost impossible to reach without an intermediary. They may not feel safe around the other person. They might not feel as though their needs matter. This is why physical connection leads to speaking about such closeness and ends up revealing the deeper parts of themselves. While challenging, the sweetness of knowing someone on this level can only be matched by someone being know in a similar manner creating the be best infinite positive feedback loop.

Couples must step beyond what is easy and into what is deeply hard. Only in the center of a relationship filled with deep intimacy can all the benefits of lasting, passion love blossom. Take the chance to be as intimate with someone safe and taste the ambrosia of true love.

Love is in the air!

Enjoy your day!

How do I Make Him Fall Back in Love with Me?

Relationships often go in cycles. Sometimes things are up and it all seems like smooth sailing. At other times, you drift apart and the waters are choppy and sharks seem to be circling. Sometimes you break up. Other times your relationship simply limps along. That loving feeling you used to have together feels like it's gone for good. But, what if you could get it back? What steps do you need to take to make him fall back in love with YOU?

Treat Yourself Like the Lady You Are

Sometimes you forget to treat yourself like a lady. You forget that you need a little pampering. You need to feed your soul. More importantly, you need to take care of yourself -- physically. You need to eat right, exercise, take care of your skin, get a new hair cut, etc. You need to feel good about the reflection you see in the mirror. You need to do all the things a lady does to feel like someone who deserves to have doors opened for her as well as other acts of chivalry. Once you start treating yourself like a lady, chances are he's going to notice and start treating you like a lady too.

Remember that this is about making you happy. Make changes that matter to you -- that will help you feel better about yourself and more confident. Some of the changes you might consider include:

• Diet/Weight loss
• Fitness
• Makeover
• Wardrobe update
• Spa treatment
• New hair style
• Manicure
• Pedicure
• Teeth whitening

The changes do not have to be drastic in order to have a drastic impact on your self-confidence and outlook on the world around you. Nor, do they need to be major overhauls to get him to take notice. The main take away from this, however, is not that he won't love you if you're imperfect. It is that it is easier for him to fall back in love with you if you aren't busy tearing yourself down for perceived flaws instead.

Fall in Love with the Woman You Are

While it's always good to strive for improvement, it's also important that you love yourself for the woman you are. He will find it much easier to love you all over again if you love yourself as well. I'm not suggesting that you become a woman who is self absorbed or self obsessed. Only that you accept yourself for who you are and find peace with that. Embrace your strengths. Work to change your weaknesses, but don't punish yourself for being human. All of us are. Once you learn to love yourself, you'll be a much happier, person he's likely to find irresistible.

You don't have to move mountains or make miracles to win back his love. Love may ebb and flow over time but it takes a while to go away completely. The odds are in your favor that if he's loved you before, you can easily win back his love once you learn to love yourself too.

What a Girl Wants - And Why You're the Man to Give it to Her

Hello Friends, I know it's been a while but I just had share this info that I think could help your relationship.

Relationships with women can be a bit of a mystery to the modern man. It seems that girls today say one thing and want something else. In some ways that's true. Women are constantly at war with a long history of genetic encoding where relationships are concerned and thoroughly modern ideas of what relationships should be. Somewhere in the mix, is a very mixed up girl. However, there are a few things that are almost universally wanted by women in relationships today. Do these things and she's sure to be putty in your hands.

Treat Her Like a Lady

This is one thing that needs to be done in both word and deed. Talk to her and in her presence in a manner that's befitting a lady. It might receive a few raised eyebrows at first, because it's so novel. After a while, however, it will really begin to shape your entire relationship -- especially when you follow up with treating her like a lady. There's nothing wrong with opening doors, leading on the dance floors, and even small acts of chivalry. It's a lost art that many women truly lament.  More importantly, most women want to be treated that way, they're just afraid to speak up and ask for it.

Give Her Room to Grow

Just as men don't appreciate being smothered in constant togetherness; women need a little time to pursue interests of their own. Whether it's educational, spiritual, or simply time to go out and connect with the girls, your lady needs to enjoy some space from the relationship so that she can feed the person she is as well as the partner she needs to be for you.

At the same time, it's healthy for you to pursue outside interests such as hobbies, weekly poker night, or even joining a bowling league if that's your thing. You will grow much better together if you're also both growing as individuals in the process.

Be a Partner to Share it All

Relationships are partnerships whether you're entering your first year together or your fiftieth. She needs to know that you're her partner in every aspect of the relationship. She doesn't want to feel as though you're going to run out on her when the real work gets started, dishes need to be washed, or lawns require mowing. Even if you agree on how to split the responsibilities it's important to make those decisions together, as equals.

Relationships today are much simpler than many people try to make them out. Girls are complex creatures to the average man who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to say it. Give her what she wants first; so that she never needs to ask for it, and she'll have a hard time even thinking about looking elsewhere for love.

Tasty Fettucine With Asparagus, Red Pepper and Avocado

This pasta dish is just marvelous!  And if you live somewhere that you can find farm fresh asparagus in early spring, it makes this dish simply to die for!

The vinaigrette brings out the tanginess of the red peppers, and the hearty avocados add a modest coating to the fettucine noodles.

Ingredients:

1 16 oz. package organic fettucine noodles
1 pound fresh organic asparagus (try to obtain local, farm fresh!)
2 organic red peppers
2 organic avocados
One half organic onion
One quarter cup organic olive oil
One half cup organic balsamic vinegar
Fresh ground salt and pepper to taste

Bring one large pot of water and one smaller saucepan of water to a boil.  Meanwhile, chop asparagus into one-inch chunks.  Dice peppers and avocados.  To dice the avocado, carefully cut around the entire  circumference with a knife.  Twist the two halves in opposite directions until they come apart.  Squeeze the half holding the pit until the pit pops out.  (If you rinse the pit off, it makes a silly temporary cat toy.)

Use a knife to cut long parallel lines into the avocado, then cut lines perpendicular to those.  Use a spoon to pop the cubes out of the skin.  Slice onion very thinly, then cut each thin slab in half and separate layers to create slivers.  Whip oil and vinegar together in a smaller bowl; adjust ratio of vinegar to increase tanginess if you like.

When smaller saucepan of water boils, add asparagus and cook for only two minutes--no longer!  The water may not return to a boil, which is just fine.  You want the asparagus to be quite firm.  Drain asparagus, then place back in saucepan and cover to keep warm.

Cook fettucine in large pot of water until it’s al dente; in other words, until it’s just  done and still firm--not overcooked and mushy.  Pasta is healthier if it’s not overcooked.

Drain pasta, then place in large bowl.  Add vinaigrette to noodles and mix until noodles are thoroughly coated.  Whip up more vinaigrette to add if you like.  Add asparagus, peppers, avocado and onion.  Fold mixture until vegetables are evenly distributed throughout the pasta.

If you want a little protein to accompany this dish, serve it with a light-colored organic or local semi-hard cheese on the side, such as raclette.  This dish also pairs nicely with white wine.  It easily serves six.

This dish is addictive, so there won’t be any leftovers--which is a good thing, because the avocados won’t keep anyway!

Put Wings on Your Dreams

Dreams are important but they need wings to take you where you REALLY want to be. Discover five ways to put wings on your dreams.

We Need Dreams

Dreams are important. Not the dreams you have when sleeping. I'm
talking about the dreams you have for your future -- the dreams that keep you
going -- the dreams that make each day worth living.

Dreams Aren't Enough

As important as dreams are, they aren' t enough. Why? Dreams don't take
you where you want to go. A dream needs wings -- to become a tangible
vision -- a passion that will take you where you REALLY want to be.

Bethany Hamilton lives in Hawaii -- her passion is surfing -- her dream
is to become a professional surfer. She spends every available minute
in the water, even home-schooling so she can have more time to pursue
her vision. At 8 years of age she entered her first major competition
taking the division championships that year. Bethany's dream had become
her passion -- a tangible vision.

When Your Vision Is Attacked

Bethany's vision was viciously attacked on Halloween morning, 2003,
when she was 13 years old. Bethany was lying on her board -- left arm
dangling in the cool water.

She remembers a flash of gray, pressure, and a couple fast tugs.  She
also remembers watching the jaws of a 15-foot tiger shark cover the top
of her board and her left arm.

The shark was gone as fast as it appeared.  So was her arm.

What It Takes To Keep Your Vision Alive

Fast thinking friends and surgery saved Bethany's life. Everyone --
including Bethany -- believed her surfing days were over. But within a
week her vision returned -- she rejected the fear and thoughts of defeat.

Less than 30 days after the attack Bethany was back in the water. Her
family and friends were there to cheer her on.

Her first attempts were failures. She struggled to push herself up with
one arm and keep her balance.  Her fear was that her dream would die in
the water that day -- the shark victorious after all. Bethany pushed
down her fears, gritted her teeth, and kept trying. And then it happened.

Tears rolled down her face -- the crowd cheered -- she caught her first
wave and rode it in.

The Dream Takes Wing

Only months after the vicious attack, Bethany amazed thousands by
achieving the unimaginable -- taking 5th at the 2004 National Scholastic
Surfing Association Nationals Championships. In September she struck
again, winning the Open Women's Division of the NSSA's Hawaiian conference
season opener. Having placed in the finals of the National Surfing
Championships Bethany has secured a spot on USA's National Surfing Team. She
has truly conquered her fears!

Five Ways To Put Wings On Your Dreams Bethany's story shows how to put
wings on your dreams:

1) Your dream must become your passion -- a tangible vision.

2) Everything you do needs to fuel your vision.

3) When your dream is attacked, face the adversity squarely and choose
to overcome it with whatever it takes -- face your fears and do it
anyway!

4) Make necessary adjustments -- regain your balance -- and keep your
eyes on your goal.

5) Accept help when it comes -- with grace and gratitude -- let it fuel
your vision.

From Dream to Vision to Reality

Bethany's vision overcomes her fear of sharks and her continued
nightmares. Her story teaches how to create dreams with wings that push you
toward your life-goals. Follow her example and your dreams will become
reality, too.

How to Make a Living Online - and How Not To!

Making a living online can be fraught with danger and pitfalls. Here's how to avoid some of them....

"I make a living online!"

That's a statement right? Right!

But is it a statement of fact?

Who knows?

Well, I do because I know it's true, but how do you know I'm telling the truth?

You don't of course. But there are some things you can look for that will help you decide.

How often have you seen something like:
"Make a ton of cash - now!
No selling
No MLM
No stock to buy
No customers to deal with
Join our upside-down, instant-cash matrix now and get rich!

It goes without saying that the above is dubious to say the least. Yet, many people fall for ads like this on a regular basis.

So, the old saying "If it looks too good to be true, it probably is", could be words of wisdom.

Golden Rule: Go with your gut feeling.

Grade these statements:

1. Anyone can make a living online!
2. You don't need capital to start a business!
3. It's much cheaper to start a business online than in the 'real world'!
4. You don't need to sell products or services to make money online!
5. You can make money instantly online!

These are my thoughts on the above:
1, 3 & 4 - generally speaking, true.
2 & 5 - generally speaking, false.
An observation about 1 above is to make a distinction between 'making money' and 'earning a living'. The former could be a one-off 5 cents, while the latter could need to be $100 per day, depending, of course on individual requirements.

My dad often says; "you don't get something for nothing!"

Translated into American English it means; "there's no such thing as a free lunch!"

Never invest in an opportunity that you are not sure about. Instead, find something that you are interested in and will enjoy doing. In other words; do what you like doing, and the money will follow.

"Okay Anginetta", I hear you say, "get to the point".

The point is this:
If you expect to make a living online without doing any work and without spending any cash upfront, go get a 'proper' job instead - preferably one that allows you to daydream a lot.

However, if you're prepared to spend some time, researching, listening & learning and have allocated some kind of budget (we're not talking megabucks here), then it's perfectly feasible to make a living online.

I started an enterprise about seven months ago with $300 and it's now earning me $500 per month residual income and growing. It took some hard work and a steep learning curve at first but now it's got into gear and I could virtually leave it alone to keep increasing month on month.

The Internet is a fantastic source of information - it's up to you to find that information and decide whether it's worth using or just more 'pie in the sky'.

Working from home is becoming a trend, so don't sit back and wish things would get better for you financially. You are just a click away from making your dreams a reality.

Happy Holidays

Anginetta
